Item Insurance

Every item stored at Keepit is automatically insured. Maximum coverage per item is ₾1,000.

1. General Terms

Keepit.ge's insurance policy automatically applies to every item entrusted to us for storage. No additional fee or separate contract is required.

Maximum coverage: ₾1,000 / item

Active from receipt to return

Insurance is active from the moment the item is received at our warehouse and continues until full return, including transportation.

2. What's Covered

Physical damage during transportation
Physical damage during warehouse storage
Fire damage
Flood/water damage
Theft or disappearance from warehouse
Damage caused by courier
Damage from improper storage conditions

3. What's Not Covered

Natural wear and tear
Damage to items improperly packed by customer
Explosive, flammable or prohibited items
Pre-existing damage (before pickup)
Perishable food products
Living organisms and plants
Cash, valuables, documents
Natural disaster (earthquake) — force majeure

4. Item Receipt and Documentation

When an item is received, the Keepit team performs a full inspection:

Photo Documentation

Every item is photographed at receipt — front, back, and side views

Condition Report

Item condition (scratches, damage, wear) is recorded in writing

Size and Weight

Real dimensions and weight are measured and entered into the system

QR Code and Tracking

Each item gets a unique QR code for real-time tracking

This documentation is the basis for any insurance claim.

5. Damage Identification

Damage may be discovered at two stages:

During Storage

Regular inspections are performed monthly. If damage is found, the customer is notified within 24 hours.

During Return

Upon return, the customer confirms receipt. If there is damage, photo and description are recorded on the spot.

6. Compensation Claim Process

    Submit a Claim

    0–48 hours

    The customer notifies Keepit about the damage within 48 hours of receiving the item. Claims can be submitted online or by phone.

    Documentation Collection

    1–3 business days

    Keepit compares photos taken at receipt with the return condition. Additional inspection is performed if needed.

  3. 3

    Assessment

    3–5 business days

    An independent appraiser or Keepit's internal commission determines the damage extent and compensation amount.

  4. 4

    Decision

    1–5 business days

    The customer is notified of the compensation amount. If accepted, payment is made within 5 business days.

  5. 5

    Appeal

    Up to 10 business days

    If the customer disagrees with the assessment, they may appeal within 10 days. An independent expert reviews the appeal.

Compensation never exceeds the item's actual market value or ₾1,000 — whichever is lower.
